Vinification of the Etichetta Nera Vermentino Colli di Luni from Cantine Lunae
The basis for the balanced Etichetta Nera Vermentino Colli di Luni from Liguria is grapes from the Vermentino grape variety. What is unusual about the production of this white wine from Cantine Lunae is the fact that the grapes in Colli di Luni DOC (IT) grow on stone terraces. However, this traditional method of vineyard cultivation is very costly and time-consuming and is therefore rarely found. Without question, the Etichetta Nera Vermentino Colli di Luni is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Colli di Luni DOC. This Italian wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, and is extraordinarily impressive. The ripening of the grapes for this Vermentino wine is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Liguria, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high must weight. When perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Etichetta Nera Vermentino Colli di Luni are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of this process, the Etichetta Nera Vermentino Colli di Luni can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
