I bought the wine in a hurry, on the recommendation of the salesman in the shop. Since I didn't know this brand, he said to start with this, the golden mean. I hadn't read anything at all about this wine and I have to say, now that I read the description, I really picked up on both the caramel and the woody notes. The wine is sweet, for the first time I had the feeling I was smelling bourbon. From this description it is not clear in which barrels it is aged, but maybe in bourbon barrels. The wine is full-bodied, tighter and has a beautiful caramel colour. It is stronger and I can imagine it as part of a mixed drink.
