More information
In the glass, the Figaro from Salzl Seewinkelhof offers a bright platinum yellow color. The nose shows this Salzl Seewinkelhof white wine all sorts of nashi pear, pears, apples and quince. As if that weren't already impressive, oak, gingerbread spice and oriental spices join in due to the aging in small wooden barrels.
On the palate, the Figaro from Salzl Seewinkelhof opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly dense and light texture. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Figaro reveals itself fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this white wine with good aging potential from the wine-growing region of Burgenland, more precisely from Lake Neusiedl, finally thrills with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and clay.
Vinification of the Figaro from Salzl Seewinkelhof
The balanced Figaro from Austria is a single-varietal wine, vinified from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgenland. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and sand. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation for 6 months in oak barrels.
