More information
With the Herpe Paul Fitou Cuvée Prestige comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. He shows it a wonderfully dense, purple color. To the nose, this Herpe Paul red wine shows all sorts of blackberries, sour cherries and raspberries. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as toasted wood and garrigue are added by the expansion in the large wooden barrel.
The Herpe Paul Fitou Cuvée Prestige presents itself to the wine friend wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy and silky texture. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Languedoc-Roussillon finally captivates with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone.
Vinification of Fitou Cuvée Prestige by Herpe Paul
The basis for the powerful Fitou Cuvée Prestige from France are grapes from the grape varieties Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Languedoc-Roussillon. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
