Vinification of Flaminio Susumaniello Salento Vallone by Flaminio

This balanced red wine from Italy is made from the Susumaniello grape variety. In Puglia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and clay. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
