The Fleur de d'Artagnan Colombard Sauvignon from the wine-growing region of Gascony reveals itself in the glass in brilliant shimmering light yellow. In the glass, this white wine from Plaimont reveals aromas of gooseberries, oranges, lemongrass, white currants and pink grapefruit, complemented by green peppers, juniper and lovage. On the palate, Plaimont's Fleur de d'Artagnan Colombard Sauvignon opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied white wine is wonderfully light and crisp. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Gascony finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of lime and lemongrass. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone are added.
Vinification of the Fleur de d'Artagnan Colombard Sauvignon by Plaimont
This elegant white wine from France is vinified from the Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc grape varieties. In Gascony, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, sand and limestone. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
