The light-footed Fleurie by Domaine de Gry-Sablon comes in a brilliant bright red colour. This varietal French wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of blueberry, jasmine, perfumed rose and blackcurrant in the glass. These are joined by notes of other fruits.
Domaine de Gry-Sablon's Fleurie is ideal for all wine drinkers who like it dry. However, it is never sparse or brittle, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this light-footed red wine is characterised by an incredibly silky texture. The finale of this well-aged red wine from the Beaujolais wine region finally captivates with a remarkable aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the granite dominated soils.
Vinification of the Fleurie by Domaine de Gry-Sablon
The elegant Fleurie from France is a pure wine made from the Gamay grape variety. In Beaujolais, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on granite soils. When the grapes for Fleurie are perfectly ripe, they are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of rough and less selective harvesters. After the manual harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a maturation on fine yeast for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
