The Fleurie from Domaine de Gry-Sablon is ideal for all wine drinkers who like it dry. However, it is never sparse or brittle, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this light-bodied red wine is characterized by an immensely silky texture. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Beaujolais, which has good aging potential, finally impresses with considerable reverberation. Vinification of the Fleurie from Domaine de Gry-Sablon
The elegant Fleurie from France is a single varietal wine, pressed from the Gamay grape variety. In Beaujolais, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of granite. When the perfect physiological maturity is assured, the grapes for Fleurie are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of coarse and less selective harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
