More information about Fojaneghe Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT - Bossi Fedrigotti
Bossi Fedrigotti's Fojaneghe Vigneti delle Dolomiti from Trentino-Alto Adige reveals a bright, crimson color in the swirled glass. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a first-rate balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out as watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. Poured into a red wine glass, this Old World red wine presents wonderfully expressive aromas of blackberry, mulberry, morello cherry and blueberry, rounded out by cinnamon, cocoa bean and black tea contributed by barrel aging.
The Bossi Fedrigotti Fojaneghe Vigneti delle Dolomiti presents itself to the connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine top range. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Fojaneghe Vigneti delle Dolomiti presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this very storable from the wine-growing region of Trentino-Alto Adige finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of plum and mulberry show through.
Vinification of the Bossi Fedrigotti Fojaneghe Vigneti delle Dolomiti
This balanced red wine from Italy is cuvée from Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Teroldego grape varieties. Fojaneghe Vigneti delle Dolomiti is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The ripening of the grapes for this wine of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Teroldego is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well ripened grapes and a rather high must weight. After harvesting, the grapes are taken to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, Fojaneghe Vigneti delle Dolomiti is aged for 30 months in oak barrels. The aging in oak barrels is followed by a considerable bottle aging, which makes this red wine even more complex.
