More information
The Pinot noir precoce of Meyer-Näkel from the Ahr reveals a bright color in the wine glass. Swiveling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out on the glass walls watery, syrupy or liqueur-like. This single varietal German wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of mulberries, plums, blueberries and blackberries. These are joined by hints of vanilla, cinnamon and dark chocolate.
The Meyer-Näkel Pinot noir precoce presents itself to the wine friend pleasantly dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully silky and dense. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Pinot noir precoce flatters with a velvety feel on the palate, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of the Ahr finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of plum and black currant show through.
Vinification of the Meyer-Näkel Pinot noir precoce
The balanced Pinot noir precoce from Germany is a single varietal wine, pressed from the grape variety Pinot noir precoce. The Pinot noir precoce is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, because this German wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of Old World wines. The fact that the Pinot noir precoce grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has an influence on the ripening of the grapes that cannot be dismissed. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and even grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. The berries for this red wine from Germany, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand . After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.
