The light-footed Frühmesse Riesling from Juwel Weine enters the glass with a brilliant light yellow color. Swiveling the wine glass, this white wine is characterized by a fascinating lightness that makes it dance peppy in the glass. To the nose, this Jewel Wines white wine reveals all manner of lemongrass, Gallia melon, mirabelle plums, grapefruits and kumquats. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds more aromas like forest floor, dark chocolate and cinnamon.
On the palate, the Frühmesse Riesling from Juwel Weine starts pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. Some wines are dry on the label, others really are. This white wine belongs to the latter, as it was vinified with only 1.4 grams of residual sugar. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Frühmesse Riesling presents itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally captivates with exceptional reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by limestone and marl.
Vinification of the Early Fair Riesling from Juwel Wines
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Riesling. Only premium grape material was harvested for this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Juwel Weine. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and marl. Frühmesse Riesling is an Old World wine through and through, as this German wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The fact that Riesling grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a very high impact on the development of the vintage. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and even grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Frühmesse Riesling are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Frühmesse Riesling can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
Food recommendation for the Frühmesse Riesling from Juwel Weine
Drink this white wine from Germany best moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C as an accompaniment to spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto, coconut-lime fish curry or wok vegetables with fish.
