With the La Vrille Fumin comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. In this it offers a wonderfully dense, ruby color. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from the Old World reveals wonderfully complex aromas of acacia, rounded off by pepper, cloves and vanilla, which contributes the expansion in wooden barrels.

On the palate, the Fumin of La Vrille opens wonderfully aromatic, fruity and balanced. Pressurized and complex, this dense, fleshy and velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Valle d'Aosta finally delights with beautiful length. Once again, hints of acacia appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the sand-dominated soils are still added.

Vinification of La Vrille Fumin

This wine clearly puts the focus on one grape variety, and that is Fumin. Only immaculate grape material was used for this wonderfully powerful varietal wine from La Vrille. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in the Aosta Valley. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the powerful Fumin is aged for another 12 months in oak barrels.

Supper recommendation for La Vrille Fumin

This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as a companion to braised chicken in red wine, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or duck breast with sugar snap peas.
