More information

The barrel-aged Gallinotto Barolo 1.5 l magnum from the wine-growing region of Piedmont presents itself in a bright ruby red in the glass. With a little swirl, the Bordeaux glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue at the edges. After the first swirl, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. The first nose of the Gallinotto Barolo 1.5 l Magnum is flattering with nuances of blackberries, blueberries and mulberries. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.

On the palate, the Gallinotto Barolo 1.5 l Magnum from Mauro Molino opens pleasantly dry, full-bodied and aromatic. The texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully full-bodied on the palate. The finish of this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Piedmont, more precisely from Barolo DOCG, ultimately impresses with a remarkable finish.

Vinification of the Gallinotto Barolo 1.5 l magnum from Mauro Molino

This balanced red wine from Italy is made from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The Gallinotto Barolo 1.5 l Magnum is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are picked exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
