More information
The Gallinotto Barolo by Mauro Molino from Piedmont shows a dense, ruby red color in the wine glass. This single-varietal Italian wine shows wonderfully elegant notes of blackberries in the glass. There are also hints of juniper berry, almond and vanilla.
This red from Mauro Molino is ideal for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it is never austere or brittle, as you would naturally expect from a wine. This powerful red wine is powerful and complex on the palate. The Gallinotto Barolo is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its present fruit acidity. On the finish, this very storable red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region finally impresses with its considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry.
Vinification of Gallinotto Barolo by Mauro Molino
This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Dining recommendation for the Gallinotto Barolo from Mauro Molino
This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to chickpea curry, roast veal liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or a potato pan with salmon.
