Vinification of La Source Gamay
The basis for the balanced Gamay from Italy are grapes from the Gamay grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Aosta Valley. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand. The grapes for this red wine from Italy, at the time of optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Gamay can further harmonize for several months on the fine lees.
Recommendation for La Source Gamay
This Italian wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to ossobuco, braised chicken in red wine or boeuf bourguignon.
