More information

The Gelber Muskateller Ried Steinbachberg from Meinhardt Hube in Styria presents a bright, golden yellow color in the glass. This single-varietal Austrian wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of lemons, peaches and acacia in the glass. These are joined by hints of nutmeg.

The Meinhardt Hube Gelber Muskateller Ried Steinbachberg presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Styria, which can be stored well, finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of lemon and acacia appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the sand-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Meinhardt Hube Gelber Muskateller Ried Steinbachberg

The basis for the balanced Gelber Muskateller Ried Steinbachberg from Austria are grapes from the grape variety Gelber Muskateller. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Styria. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils made of sand. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully milled. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Gelber Muskateller Ried Steinbachberg by Meinhardt Hube

This Austrian white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to pumpkin casserole, leek soup or coconut-lime fish curry.
