Vinification of the Geldermann Geldermann Grand Carte Blanche 1.5 l Magnum
This elegant sparkling wine from Germany is made from Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Noir and Ugni Blanc grapes. Geldermann Grand Carte Blanche 1.5 l Magnum is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this German wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The fact that the Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Noir and Ugni Blanc grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable influence on the maturation of the vintage. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. Following the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and gently pressed. This is followed by fermentation of the base wines. After the assemblage of the cuvée, further aging follows on the basis of bottle storage, classic bottle fermentation. Subsequently, the Geldermann Geldermann Grand Carte Blanche 1.5 l Magnum matures for several months in the bottle and is finally disgorged.
