Gewurztraminer Cuvée des Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The ripening of the grapes for this Gewürztraminer wine is influenced to a very high degree by the climate of the growing region. In Alsace, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. The grapes for this white wine from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Gewurztraminer Cuvée des Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre is aged for another 48 months in oak barrels.
