More information

In the glass, the GIllesberg Cabernet Franc from Triebaumer reveals a dense purple-red color. In the glass, this red wine from Triebaumer reveals aromas of redcurrant, blueberry, plum and blackberry, complemented by thyme, licorice and tobacco. The Triebaumer GIllesberg Cabernet Franc is pleasantly dry for wine lovers. This red wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a wine. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety and dense texture. The balanced fruit acidity gives the GIllesberg Cabernet Franc a velvety mouthfeel without lacking any juicy liveliness. The finish of this well-maturing red wine from the Burgenland wine-growing region, more precisely from Leithaberg / Neusiedlersee-Hügelland, finally convinces with a good aftertaste.

Vinification of the GIllesberg Cabernet Franc from Triebaumer

The basis for the powerful GIllesberg Cabernet Franc from Austria are grapes from the Cabernet Franc grape variety. The grapes for this red wine from Austria are harvested exclusively by hand after optimal ripeness has been ensured. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Wine pairing recommendation for the GIllesberg Cabernet Franc from Triebaumer

This Austrian wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with baked sheep's cheese parcels, leek tortillas or spinach gratin with almonds.
