Vinification of Giustino B. Extra Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore from Ruggeri
This sparkling wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Glera. Only first-class grapes were harvested for this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Ruggeri. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, clay and marl. Naturally, the Giustino B. Extra Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore is also determined by the climate and viticultural style of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG. This Italian wine can literally be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an extraordinarily impressive way. The fact that the Glera grapes thrive under the influence of a warm climate also has an undeniable influence on the ripening of the grapes. Among other things, this results in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high alcohol content in the wine. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation of the base wines. Once the final Prosecco Spumante has been blended, it is aged further using the Charmat method. The Ruggeri Giustino B. Extra Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore then matures for several months in the bottle and is finally disgorged.
