More information
The Goldriesling from the wine-growing region of Saxony reveals itself in the glass in brilliant shimmering light yellow color. This single-varietal German wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of orange, quince, pomelo and lemongrass in the glass. These are joined by hints of garrigue, juniper and green bell bell pepper.
The Schloss Proschwitz Goldriesling presents itself wonderfully dry to the connoisseur. This white wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Saxony finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of pineapple and pink grapefruit appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess and granite are added.
Vinification of the Schloss Proschwitz Goldriesling
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Goldriesling. Only the best grape material was harvested for this exceptionally elegant single-varietal wine from Schloss Proschwitz. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Saxony. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of granite and loess. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Goldriesling are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
