This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine icon wine segment, this Spaniard naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy and dense texture. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Catalonia finally thrills with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and slate.
Vinification of the Gran Claustro Empordà from Castillo Perelada
The powerful Gran Claustro Empordà from Spain is a cuvée vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Samsó and Shiraz. In Catalonia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and slate. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Gran Claustro Empordà is aged for another 18 months in oak barriques.
