Grant Burge - Wines with cult status

It is located in the beautiful Barossa Valley, an area that is not only scenically impressive, but also home to truly delicious grape varieties that thrive here on 400 hectares. It was started by Prussian settlers who arrived with Shiraz grapes from the Rhône Valley in France. The Grant Burge winery is able to produce quality wines that are priced between the entry level and the "Icon Wines", the highest price range. The company owns and manages vineyards in the Eden Valley as well as in the Barossa Valley and thus has first-class vineyards. For red and white wine production, as well as the production of fortified wines. In addition, the Grant Burge winery owns three wineries. The portfolio also includes premium wines that are sold throughout Australia and in forty countries around the world.

Red soil for red wines

80 kilometres north of Adelaide, the capital of the state of South Australia, lies the Barossa region with its Mediterranean climate and varied terroirs. It consists of the two very different valleys Barossa Valley and Eden Valley, which are very well suited for the cultivation of red and white grape varieties. The soils of the Barossa Valley, which lies 200 to 250 meters above sea level, are red to brown, rich, alluvial and deep. Thus, they are perfectly suitable for red wines. In the Eden Valley, on the other hand, which is about 500 meters above sea level, the best white wines thrive on the acidic, grey and stony soils. The vines here have many water reserves needed for ripening, which result from the generous rainfalls in spring and the cold, wet winters. The dry, warm conditions in summer and autumn produce fully ripe grapes with wonderful aromas.

The wines of Grant Burge can be everyday, single vineyard and premium. They have all already achieved cult status. The red wine collection includes wonderful everyday wines as well as exquisite red wines from the best sites. Full-bodied, complex red wines with Shiraz and Merlot have become Grant Burge 's trademark. Whereas the Boomerang Bay collection, which comprises white and red wines, is expected to be  enormously fruity, the Benschmark line is convincing with well-balanced, fruity wines, which are already a wonderful drinking pleasure when they are young.
