In the glass, the Pinot Gris Liter from the Manz winery offers a brilliant shimmering copper-gold color. This single-varietal German wine flatters in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of apples, pineapple, physalis and papayas. These are joined by hints of sun-warmed rocks and forest floor.
This dry white wine from Weingut Manz is for wine lovers who like their wine dry. The Pinot Gris Liter already comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 5.2 grams of residual sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by a tremendously creamy texture. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Pinot Gris liter flatters the palate with a soft feeling, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of papaya and guava. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and clay are added.
Vinification of the Pinot Gris Liter from Manz Winery
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Pinot Gris. Only the best grapes were harvested for this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Weingut Manz. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and marl. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
