The light-footed Pinot Gris from Juwel Winery shines in the glass with a brilliant light yellow color. In the glass, this white wine from Juwel Estate offers aromas of gallia melon, nectarines, mirabelles, vineyard peaches and papayas, complemented by garrigue, green peppers and juniper. The Weingut Juwel Pinot Gris impresses with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 7.5 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the upper price range, this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by a tremendously silky texture. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Pinot Gris presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with exceptional length. Once again, hints of pineapple and guava appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess and limestone join in.
Vinification of the Pinot Gris from Juwel Winery
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully elegant Cuvée Pinot Gris from Weingut Juwel are Pinot Gris (Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris) grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and loess. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
