More information about Grauer Burgunder trocken - Weingut Münzberg

In the glass, the Pinot Gris from Weingut Münzberg offers a brilliantly shimmering copper-gold color. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Germany shows wonderfully expressive aromas of apple, nashi pear, quince and pear, rounded off by walnut, brittle and roasted almond.

This white from Weingut Münzberg is perfect for all wine drinkers who like as little residual sweetness in the wine as possible. However, it never appears meager or brittle, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of pear and quince. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and loess are added.

Vinification of the Pinot Gris from Münzberg Winery

The elegant Pinot Gris from Germany is a single-varietal wine, vinified from the Pinot Gris grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate region. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay, sand and loess. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.

Food recommendation for Weingut Münzberg Pinot Gris

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to plum jam, lemon chili chicken with bulgur or Thai cucumber salad.
