The powerful Grenache-Syrah Rouge from Domaine Saint Paul shimmers into the glass with a dense cherry red color. This French cuvée reveals wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries, black currants, mulberries and blueberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of oriental spices, vanilla and cocoa bean.
The Domaine Saint Paul Grenache-Syrah Rouge delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the upper price range, this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require sugar. This fleshy red wine is full-bodied and multifaceted on the palate. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of blackberry and mulberry show.
Vinification of the Domaine Saint Paul Grenache-Syrah Rouge
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful cuvée Grenache-Syrah Rouge from Domaine Saint Paul are Grenache and Syrah grapes. The berries for this red wine from France, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day to preserve their aromas. After the harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
