More information about Grüner Silvaner Alte Reben trocken - Weingut Manz

The Grüner Silvaner Alte Reben from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen reveals itself in the glass in bright light yellow. To the nose, this Weingut Manz white wine presents all sorts of peaches, vineyard peach, Nashi pear, apples and mirabelles. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds more aromas like forest floor and sun-warmed rock.

The Weingut Manz Grüner Silvaner Alte Reben presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This white wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Due to its concise fruit acidity, Grüner Silvaner Alte Reben presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally thrills with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by clay and marl.

Vinification of the winery Manz Grüner Silvaner Old Vines

This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Silvaner. For this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from Weingut Manz, only impeccable grapes were used. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and marl. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the winery Manz Grüner Silvaner Alte Reben

Enjoy this white wine from Germany ideally well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to leek soup, cabbage roulades or roasted trout with ginger pear.
