More information
In the glass, the Grüner Silvaner from Weingut Manz offers a brilliant shimmering platinum yellow color. The bouquet of this white wine from Rheinhessen delights with aromas of pear, mirabelle plum, apple and nashi pear. If we trace the aromatics further, sun-warmed rocks and forest floor come into play.
This dry white wine from Weingut Manz is perfect for wine drinkers who can't drink their wine dry enough. The Grüner Silvaner already comes very close to this, as it was pressed with just 4.7 grams of residual sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Grüner Silvaner is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally thrills with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and clay.
Vinification of the Manz Grüner Silvaner Winery
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Silvaner. Only immaculate grape material was brought in for this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Weingut Manz. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and marl. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Grüner Silvaner from Weingut Manz
This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to roasted trout with ginger pear, wok vegetables with fish or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
