More information about Grüner Veltliner aus dem Carnuntum - Weingut Markowitsch

The Grüner Veltliner from Carnuntum by Weingut Markowitsch from Lower Austria presents a brilliant platinum yellow color in the glass. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Austria reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of plum, pear, apple and quince, rounded off by other fruity nuances.

The winery Markowitsch Grüner Veltliner from Carnuntum presents itself to the wine enthusiast wonderfully dry. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied white wine is wonderfully crisp and velvety. With its incisive fruit acidity, the Grüner Veltliner from Carnuntum reveals itself to be exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this storable white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of quince and morello cherry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the gravel-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the winery Markowitsch Grüner Veltliner from Carnuntum

This elegant white wine from Austria is vinified from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of gravel. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.

Food recommendation for the winery Markowitsch Grüner Veltliner from Carnuntum

Enjoy this white wine from Austria best chilled at 8 - 10°C as a companion to omelet with salmon and fennel, spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto or fruity endive salad.
