With the Domäne Wachau Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Federspiel comes a first-class white wine in the wine glass. In this it presents a wonderfully brilliant platinum yellow color. The nose of this white wine from Lower Austria delights with aromas of quince, nashi pear, apple and pear. If we trace the aromatics further, cinnamon, vanilla and oriental spices are added.
This white wine from Domäne Wachau is the right wine for all wine lovers who like as little sweetness in their wine as possible. At the same time, however, it never appears meager or brittle, as one might naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Federspiel flatters with a velvety feel on the palate, without lacking juicy liveliness. The finale of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria, more precisely from the Wachau, finally convinces with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Domäne Wachau Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Federspiel
This wine clearly puts the focus on one grape variety, and that is Grüner Veltliner. Only the best grape material was used for this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Domäne Wachau. The berries for this white wine from Austria, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
