Vinification of the Grüner Veltliner from Mayer at Pfarrplatz
The basis for the elegant Grüner Veltliner from Vienna are grapes from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Vienna. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and marl. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately sent to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Grüner Veltliner is aged for another 3 months in 500 l oak barrels.
