With the Martin Diwald Grüner Veltliner Selection Wagram comes a first-class organic white wine in the glass. In this it reveals a wonderfully bright, platinum yellow color. The bouquet of this white wine from Lower Austria delights with notes of lemon and green apple. If we trace the aromatics further, mint/melissa and white pepper are added.
On the palate, Martin Diwald's Grüner Veltliner Selektion Wagram opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. There are dry and really dry. This white wine belongs to the latter, as it was bottled with only 2.1 grams of residual sugar. Balanced and multifaceted, this silky white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Grüner Veltliner Selection Wagram flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking freshness. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of lemon and green apple show through.
Vinification of the Martin Diwald Grüner Veltliner Selection Wagram
This balanced white wine from Austria is vinified organically from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Grüner Veltliner Selektion Wagram by Martin Diwald
This Austrian is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto, coconut-lime fish curry or wok vegetables with fish.
