More information
With the Johann Topf Grüner Veltliner Strassertal comes a first-class white wine in the wine glass. In this it shows a wonderfully brilliant platinum yellow color. This single-varietal Austrian wine reveals wonderfully youthful notes of jasmine, orange, pomelo and honeysuckle in the glass. It is joined by hints of cinnamon, cocoa bean and forest floor.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1 gram of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Austrian enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Excellent taste does not necessarily require residual sugar. Light-footed and multi-layered, this crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Grüner Veltliner Strassertal reveals itself to be exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria, more precisely from Kamptal, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by loess and slate.
Vinification of the Johann Topf Grüner Veltliner Strassertal
The basis for the elegant Grüner Veltliner Strassertal from Lower Austria are grapes from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand, shale, loess soil and gravel. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
