Vinification of the Johann Topf Grüner Veltliner Strassertal 1,5 l Magnum
The elegant Grüner Veltliner Strassertal 1,5 l Magnum from Austria is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand, slate, loess and gravel. Obviously, the Grüner Veltliner Strassertal 1.5 l Magnum is also determined by more than just the soil Kamptal. This Austrian can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, with an exceptionally youthful presentation. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

This Austrian is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to omelet with salmon and fennel, roasted trout with ginger pear or cod with cucumber mustard vegetables.
