More information about Guntersblumer Steig-Terrasse Gewürztraminer Beerenauslese - Weingut Manz

The light-footed Guntersblumer Steig-Terrasse Gewürztraminer Beerenauslese Weingut Manz flows into the glass with a brilliant golden yellow color. Swiveling the wine glass, this dessert wine is characterized by a fascinating lightness that makes it dance nimbly in the glass. In the glass, this dessert wine from Weingut Manz presents aromas of lime, acacia, cherry blossom, orange blossom and honeysuckle, complemented by sun-warmed rock and forest floor. The Guntersblumer Steig-Terrasse Gewürztraminer Beerenauslese can rightly be described as particularly fruity and velvety, having been vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. On the tongue, this light-footed dessert wine is characterized by an immensely dense texture. With its vital fruit acidity, the Guntersblumer Steig-Terrasse Gewürztraminer Beerenauslese is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this well-maturing dessert wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen, more precisely from Guntersblum, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by loess.

Vinification of the Manz Winery Guntersblumer Steig-Terrasse Gewürztraminer Beerenauslese

The basis for the elegant Guntersblumer Steig-Terrasse Gewürztraminer Beerenauslese from Rheinhessen are grapes from the grape variety Gewürztraminer. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loess. A considerable influence on the ripening of the grapes is also the fact that Gewürztraminer grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate. This results, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Guntersblumer Steig-Terrasse Gewürztraminer Beerenauslese from Weingut Manz

This dessert wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to almond milk jelly with lychees, elderflower yogurt ice cream with lemon balm or banana trifle in a glass.
