More information
The half-piece Cuvee from the pen of Emil Bauer from the Palatinate offers a bright, purple color in the glass. In the glass, this red wine from Emil Bauer reveals aromas of mulberries, black currants, blueberries and blackberries, complemented by black tea, cocoa bean and gingerbread spice. The Emil Bauer Halbstück Cuvee presents itself pleasantly dry to the wine enthusiast. This red wine never shows itself to be coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Finally, the finish of this red wine from the Pfalz wine-growing region impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by clay and loess.
Vinification of the Emil Bauer Halbstück Cuvee
The basis for the balanced Halbstück Cuvee from the Palatinate are grapes from the grape varieties Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In the Palatinate, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, limestone and loess. After the grapes are harvested, they are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the half-piece cuvee can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
Food recommendation for the Emil Bauer Halbstück Cuvee
