This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Monastrell. Only the best grapes were used for this wonderfully powerful single-varietal wine from Bodegas Castaño. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Murcia. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into loam and clay soils. The grapes for this red wine from Spain are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Hécula Jeroboam 5.0 l can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 6 months.
