The Steitz Heerkretz Riesling is a first-class vegan white wine. It offers a wonderfully brilliant, light yellow color. If you give it some air by swirling, this white wine is characterized by an immense lightness that makes it dance nimbly in the glass. To the nose, this Weingut Steitz white wine presents all sorts of apples, pears, quince and nashi pear. As if that wasn't already impressive, the aging in large wooden barrels adds more aromas like sun-warmed rock and forest floor.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 6.5 grams of residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities, and so this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. With its lively fruit acidity, the Heerkretz Riesling is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen, more precisely from Siefersheim + Neu-Bamberg, finally thrills with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Heerkretz Riesling from Steitz Winery
The elegant Heerkretz Riesling from Germany is a single-varietal wine, vegan vinified from the Riesling grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels. After the wine is finished, the Heerkretz Riesling is carefully harmonized.
