Heppenheimer Centgericht Grauburgunder Crescentia 2019 - Domäne Bergstraße - Kloster Eberbach
The Heppenheimer Centgericht Grauburgunder Crescentia from Domäne Bergstraße is a fascinating white wine from a VDP first vineyard of the German Rheingau wine region.
In the glass this wine shimmers in a tender yellow tone with golden highlights. The quite cool bouquet reveals aromas of citrus fruits with green pomaceous fruit - like Granny Smith apples - and nutty as well as mineral nuances. On the palate, this German white wine presents a delicate and discreet sweetness. Nutty and filigree salty nuances follow, which perfectly surround the present acid structure. The finish is wonderfully long and is accompanied by a citric touch.
Vinification of the Crescentia Domäne Bergstraße Heppenheimer Centgericht Grauburgunder
The Heppenheimer Centgericht Lage is a southwest-facing slope and belongs to the Bergsträsser monopoly of the Hessische Staatsweingüter Kloster Eberbach.
After the grapes have been carefully harvested and destemmed in the winery, the grapes are gently pressed. After pressing, the juice is separated from the berry skins and the grape seeds. With this white wine the alcoholic fermentation takes place to 20% in high-grade steel tanks and to 80% in oak wood barrels (1200 litres and 2400 litres). After the biological degradation of acidity, this wine is stored on the fine yeast until bottling.
Food recommendation for the Eberbach Domäne Bergstraße Grauburgunder Heppenheimer Centgericht Crescentia
Enjoy this dry white wine from Germany with classic Flammkuchen or vegetable tarts. But also to Tafelspitz with Frankfurter green sauce this wine is a pleasure.
