The barrel-aged Herrenbuck Innovation Pinot Noir from the Baden winegrowing region presents a bright light red color in the glass. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. The first nose of Herrenbuck Innovation Pinot Noir presents notes of blackberries, blackcurrants and blueberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
This red from Weingut Kiefer is ideal for all wine connoisseurs who like it dry. However, it is never dry or brittle, but round and smooth. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Herrenbuck Innovation Pinot Noir is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate.
Vinification of the Weingut Kiefer Herrenbuck Innovation Pinot Noir
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Pinot Noir. Only impeccable grapes were harvested for this exceptionally balanced single-varietal wine from Weingut Kiefer. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Baden. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loam, loess and volcanic rock. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Herrenbuck Innovation Pinot Noir is aged for another 18 months in oak barriques.
