More information
The barrel-aged Herzallerliebst from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen presents itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering purple. This German cuvée flatters in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of black cherries, plums, blueberries and black currants. It is joined by hints of black tea, gingerbread spice and vanilla.
Herzallerliebst can justifiably be described as exceptionally fruit-driven and velvety, having been vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. Light-footed and complex, this silky red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its concise fruit acid, the Herzallerliebst shows itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally impresses with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and marl.
Vinification of the Herzallerliebst from Manz Winery
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully elegant Cuvée Herzallerliebst from Weingut Manz are Dornfelder and Merlot grapes. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and marl. After harvesting, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.
