More information about Holy Moly Syrah - Markus Schneider

In the glass, Markus Schneider's Holy Moly Syrah displays a dense purple color. Held at a slight angle, the Bordeaux glass reveals a charming purple hue at the rims. Given some air by swirling, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, evident in distinct church windows at the rim of the glass.

This single varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of plum, blueberry, mulberry and black cherry in the glass. It is joined by hints of gingerbread spice, cinnamon and vanilla.

It delights with its elegantly dry flavor and was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would naturally expect with such a wine, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Pressurized and complex, this dense and powerful red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally thrills with considerable length. There are again hints of black currant and blackberry.

Vinification of the Schneider Holy Moly Syrah

This powerful red wine from Germany is vinified from the grape variety Syrah. In the Palatinate region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand and marl.

The grapes for this red wine from Germany, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately sent to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully ground. Then fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Syrah Markus Schneider Holy Moly

Drink this red wine from Germany ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to pumpkin casserole, stuffed peppers or spinach gratin with almonds.
