More information
This red wine Imprint Susumaniello from A Mano is made from a rare, old grape from Apulia on the Salento peninsula - Susumaniello. Translated from the local dialect, the name of this grape variety means "little donkey". This is because this grape variety is said to be difficult to handle - almost stubborn - when it comes to vinification. With this red wine, winemaker Mark Shannon reveals a small part of his personality - he is a stubborn, unyielding winemaker.
This wine shimmers a deep purple with bluish reflections in the glass. Expressive aromas of juicy blueberries, crème de cassis and floral notes of violets and spring flowers unfold on the nose. The bouquet is accompanied by fresh Mediterranean herbs. The palate is full-bodied and opulent with a fantastic freshness and fine tannin structure. The wonderful berry aromas and a hint of herbs accompany the long finish.
Dining recommendation for the A Mano Susumaniello Imprint
Enjoy this dry red wine from Italy with hearty roast dishes in a dark sauce and hearty side dishes, grilled fillet of beef or selected sausage and cheese specialties.
