Vinification of the Nino Negri Inferno Valtellina Superiore

The balanced Inferno Valtellina Superiore from Italy is a cuvée made from the Merlot, Nebbiolo and Pignola grape varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by ageing for several months in oak barriques.

This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C with lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs, goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram or boeuf bourguignon.
