In the glass, the Inferno Valtellina Superiore from Nino Negri reveals a bright purple-red color. The nose of this Nino Negri red wine reveals all kinds of mulberries, blackcurrants, blueberries and blackberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, the ageing in small wooden barrels adds further aromas such as dark chocolate, cocoa bean and gingerbread spice.
This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense and fleshy texture. On the finish, this storable red wine from the Lombardy wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length. There are again hints of mulberry and blueberry.
Vinification of the Nino Negri Inferno Valtellina Superiore
The balanced Inferno Valtellina Superiore from Italy is a cuvée made from the Merlot, Nebbiolo and Pignola grape varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by ageing for several months in oak barriques.
