The barrel-aged Intruso Garnacha Calatayud from the wine-growing region of Aragon appears in the glass in dense purple. The bouquet of this red wine from Aragon delights with hints of black cherry, morello cherry, plum and plum. If we trace the aromatics further, cinnamon, vanilla and oriental spices are added.
On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Intruso Garnacha Calatayud flatters with a pleasing mouthfeel, without at the same time lacking in juicy liveliness. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Aragon, more precisely from Calatayud, capable of aging, finally captivates with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Intruso Garnacha Calatayud by Juan Gil
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Garnacha. Only top quality grapes were harvested for this exceptionally powerful single varietal wine from Juan Gil. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Intruso Garnacha Calatayud is aged for several months in oak barrels.
