More information about Johannisberg Mittelhölle Riesling RGG trocken - Weingut Trenz

The Weingut Trenz Johannisberg Mittelhölle Riesling RGG is a first-class white wine. It offers a wonderfully brilliant, light yellow color. If you swirl the wine glass, this white wine is characterized by an immense lightness, which makes it dance lively in the glass. The bouquet of this white wine from the Rheingau region enchants with nuances of apricot, grapefruit, vineyard peach and nectarine. If we trace the aromatics further, oriental spices, cinnamon and gingerbread spice are added, encouraged by the oak influence.

The Weingut Trenz Johannisberg Mittelhölle Riesling RGG presents itself to the wine connoisseur wonderfully dry. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine top wine range. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. With its present fruit acidity, the Johannisberg Mittelhölle Riesling RGG presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of the Rheingau finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of peach and orange appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess and clay are added.

Vinification of the Johannisberg Mittelhölle Riesling RGG from Weingut Trenz

The elegant Johannisberg Mittelhölle Riesling RGG from Germany is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Riesling grape variety. In the Rheingau region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loam and loess. Of course, Johannisberg Mittelhölle Riesling RGG is also determined by more than just the Geisenheim soil. This German wine can literally be described as an Old World wine that is extraordinarily impressive. The development of the vintage for this wine from Riesling is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In the Rheingau, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Johannisberg Mittelhölle Riesling RGG are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation for 8 months in 500 l French wooden barrels.

Food recommendation for Weingut Trenz Johannisberg Mittelhölle Riesling RGG

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to spinach gratin with almonds, cabbage roulades or vegetable salad with beetroot.
