The Lis Neris Jurosa Isonzo is a first-class white wine. It presents a wonderfully bright, golden yellow color. When swirling the glass, you can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. The nose of this white wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia enchants with notes of gooseberry and white currant. If we explore the aromas further, vanilla, dark chocolate and black tea are added.
This white wine from Lis Neris is ideal for all wine connoisseurs who like as little sweetness as possible in their wine. However, it is never austere or brittle, but round and smooth. This crisp and velvety white wine is balanced and multi-faceted on the palate. On the finish, this white wine from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine-growing region delights with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of white currant and gooseberry. In the finish, mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils are added.
Vinification of Lis Neris Jurosa Isonzo
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Chardonnay. Only flawless grapes were brought in for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Lis Neris. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into limestone soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by 11 months of ageing in oak barriques.
