The Käfer Shiraz impresses with its straightforward, dry taste. It was bottled with 6.1 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Australian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. This powerful red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. With its present fruit acidity, the Shiraz is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. Vinification of Käfer Shiraz
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Shiraz. Only flawless grapes were harvested for this exceptionally powerful single-varietal wine from Käfer. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of this process, the Shiraz is allowed to harmonize further on the fine lees for a few months.
