More information

In the glass, the organically produced Kallstadter Saumagen Spätburgunder GG from Rings reveals a brilliantly shimmering light red color. Swiveling the glass, this red wine is characterized by an immense brilliance that makes it dance peppy in the glass. This single varietal German wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of morello cherry, apples, pears and plums in the glass. These are joined by hints of black tea, oriental spices and vanilla.

The Rings Kallstadter Saumagen Spätburgunder GG presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This red wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the icon wine segment. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Kallstadter Saumagen Spätburgunder GG reveals itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate, more precisely from Kallstadt, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by loess and limestone.

Vinification of the Rings Kallstadter Saumagen Spätburgunder GG

This elegant red wine from Germany is organically vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. In the Palatinate region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and loess. Of course, Kallstadter Saumagen Spätburgunder GG is also determined by more than just the soil of Kallstadt. This German wine can literally be described as an Old World wine that is exceptionally impressive. The fact that the Spätburgunder grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable influence on the development of the vintage. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. When perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for Kallstadter Saumagen Spätburgunder GG are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up.

Food recommendation for the Rings Kallstadter Saumagen Spätburgunder GG

This red wine from Germany is best enjoyed at a temperate 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs or boeuf bourguignon.
