Weingut Wohlmuth Klassik Gelber Muskateller delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 3.9 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this Austrian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Klassik Gelber Muskateller is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Styria finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the slate-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Klassik Gelber Muskateller from Weingut Wohlmuth
This elegant white wine from Austria is made from the Gelber Muskateller grape variety. In Styria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of slate. What is unusual about the production of this top wine from Weingut Wohlmuth is the fact that the grapes in Styria grow on stone terraces. This traditional way of vineyard design is unfortunately very costly and therefore rarely found. The grapes for this white wine from Austria, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand . After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
